As the twenty-first century begins, artists from all disciplines are reevaluating art’s building blocks. The Line Unleashed presents the work of five artists who examine the essential feature of drawing: the line. In distinct ways, each frees the drawn line from the confines of the picture plane, infusing it with new meanings in site-specific installations commissioned by the Arts Center.
