Father Matthias Wernerus constructed his grotto on the grounds of the Holy Ghost Church between 1925 and 1930. The structures on the site depict both Father Wernerus’ love of God and his patriotism for his country. The works are encrusted with small treasures brought by parishioners from all over the world.
