The year is 1933. Are you ready for an amazing sci-fi adventure? Book One: Target Earth teams old-time radio drama with comic-book art for a theatrical experience that has caught the attention of National Public Radio, Conan O’Brien, and The Wall Street Journal.
This production has everything needed for a rousing good time: a woman reporter, her intrepid assistant, an evil hypnotist, a time-traveling librarian, and alien sludge monsters. Three actors, one keyboardist, a single sound-effects guy, and thousands of original, hand-drawn graphic-novel images projected on a massive screen unite in a fantastic tale that is long on imagination and leaves audiences in a state of “Wow!” Performances recommended for ages seven and older.

Mingling Japanese tradition and American innovation, incorporating next-generation sound and choreography, TAIKOPROJECT transforms the ancient art of drumming. The result is a fullthrottle show that is definitely taiko with a difference. A lively spin on the 1944 noir classic Gaslight, in which Ingrid Bergman plays a woman slowly driven mad by her conniving husband, this performance invokes feelings of claustrophobia, escape, and resilience among couples.

Carrying on Mali’s rich musical traditions, Fatoumata Diawara performs a joyous amalgamation of the vibrant and the understated in songs about love, politics, and empowerment.

This Malian-raised, Parisian singer/songwriter brings elements of jazz, pop, and funk to her compositions, accompanying her voice with rhythmical guitar playing and her own percussion work. Her distinctly African spin on the contemporary folk sensibility has found an enthusiastic audience.
